Amazing minds and unique ideas are born in Austin. My late husband and I originally came here to join the film department at the University of Texas, write scripts, make films and raise our family. The Austin Chronicle was a new venture back then and the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre was just being filmed!
This girl knows Austin - but more importantly, she knows real estate!
Our film crew could shoot at the State Capitol, covered in aluminum foil and though you could not see our faces in our costumes, no security stopped or questioned us. We even sat in the Senate chamber and had our pictures taken with members of the House of Representatives. It was a time of innocence and innovative minds.
Austin was being called The Third Coast by longtime friends: the nationally-recognized directors Jonathan Demme and John Sayles, and singer-song writer David Byrne of the Talking Heads. Back then, there were no Whole Foods Markets, Starbucks Coffee or high rise condominiums. Our little airport was Mueller - right in the center of town. Over time Austin has grown into one of the nation’s 21st century cities welcoming people from around the world to take part in all it has to offer. From diverse communities to unique living spaces and entertainment spots, this town will embrace you.
I’ve seen the incredible transformation of Austin and I honestly love and value both the old and the new. Growth is inevitable, but I believe Austin will always retain that “small town” feel and the friendliness it’s come to be known for – no matter how large it grows. Because I have been a licensed realtor for nearly 20 years, I have seen the explosive growth. I am intimately familiar with all of Austin’s great neighborhoods - from it’s central jewels to its up-and-comers.

In my free time, I love to experience all Austin has to offer. I enjoy hiking the trails with The Crack of Dawn and Sierra hiking groups, running the trails at Lady Bird Lake and Mueller, swimming in Barton Springs, playing Petanque at the French Legation and Paggi Square or tossing a few games of bocce ball at the Triangle. I am an active member of the Austin Film Society, the Austin Museum of Art and I volunteer my time with various other charitable and church organizations. I’d be honored to help you buy or sell a home in this great city.
